Heaton Mersey Village Conservation Group CIC Awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2025

We are honoured to announce that HMVCG CIC has been bestowed with the esteemed King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2025.

This prestigious accolade recognises our organisation's outstanding contributions to the local community through volunteer-led initiatives aimed at the preservation of Heaton Mersey's natural and cultural heritage.

The recipients of the award were disclosed in a dedicated supplement to the Gazette published on 14 November 2025, coinciding with the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III. HMVCG was recognised alongside 231 charities, social enterprises, and voluntary organisations throughout the UK.

The King’s Award for Voluntary Service represents the highest national commendation for volunteer groups in the UK and underscores the significant influence these organisations wield within their communities. HMVCG’s unwavering commitment to the protection and enhancement of green spaces and heritage has earned us this prestigious recognition.

The award will be presented at a special ceremony later in the year, signifying a vital milestone in our continuous mission to support and inspire local conservation efforts. We extend our sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to the success of our organisation.
